We’re always in a hurry right? Rushing to work, rushing to the grocery store, rushing to get chores done and rushing to get ahead. Hurry is a way of life. Have you ever thought about this…….One Beautiful Thought?
I looked up from the table this morning to a stunning view. The sun that has been hidden, was now revealed. It’s amazing how fresh and alive things look with a little light shining on them.
I really started to think about all the beautiful things we get to look at. I wanted to post some pictures of those sights, we get to experience in Texas. The dessert cactus explode with vivid flowers. Sunsets that stretch for miles, mesa’s that turn purple when the sunlight hits them just right. Even cattle of different breeds that are beautiful. Horses colored…blue, dune, sorrel, roans, chestnut, grey, brown, and black! I mean, why would God create so many colors? He could have made every thing brown or grey.
Now, I am not a worship the creation person. The beauty of the things I see just make me think of how creative He MUST be. Why is that vermilion fly catcher so captivating. A red racer so accelerating. A cactus bloom so inviting.
Why do clouds have colors of white, purple, blue, and green. Burst of sunsets oranges and yellow.
And then I think……God, thank you for the feast for our eyes. Majestic isn’t enough to describe some of them. Majestic isn’t enough to describe you…….And then, I am silent, searching. Searching for a word to describe YOU. My mind rushes back and forth, and still……….nothing. Maybe that is what describes you best. Enthralled in who you must be. More than all the beauty I could possible conceive in my heart. More than all the beauty I can see. More than a thousand or even a million sunsets put together.
Oh to gaze upon your beauty! Oh to be captivated by your love. And again silence. I tremble at the thought of what’s to come. I tremble at the day, when I will see you and what you’ve created….too vivid, I imagine, for my eyes to behold. I can imagine the beautiful silence. My eyes submerged in your beauty, my mind racing to take it all in. Thank you, thank you……… for your beautiful invitation to be a part of it. to be invited. Thank you for the one thing……a beautiful brown cross, stained with red….a beautiful stone rolled away. A beautiful resurrection. A beautiful beginning. And once again,…..silence
“Come and see what God has done,
his awesome deeds for mankind!”
Psalm 66:5
Look at the things around you. What beautiful things do you see, that God created? It would be a great idea to record them throughout the day. Always love hearing from you……thecowboypastorswife
